Show Notes
A few years back, I was fortunate to have a conversation with Hugh O'Brian, before he passed away. The actor is best remembered for his starring role in The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp for six seasons on television. He also appeared in movies, notably with John Wayne in The Shootist and In Harm's Way.
O'Brian's legacy should also include his HOBY Foundation, dedicated to global youth leadership. The organization is still running, thanks to the efforts of his wife, Virginia.
Truth be told, I was friends with the O'Brians. I was lucky to spend a couple of Christmas celebrations at their home and I appreciate the treasured time I spent with Hugh and Virginia. Virginia has reminded me that the interview you will be listening too was the last meaningful chat Hugh had with the press. I am grateful for the compliment!
Broadcaster Joe Lyons is on hand for another Backlot report, with news and notes that reference Hollywood's pst.
