Radio Hall of Famer Art Laboe is our guest! To celebrate his 97th birthday, Art joins Manny Pacheco to chat about his career and his love of classic films. Laboe first coined the term Oldies-But-Goodies back in the 1950s and found nationwide success with his Oldies collection of albums. His nine-decade broadcast career in Southern California and throughout the Southwest is legendary, and puctuated by his legions of fans in East Los Angeles, San Gabriel Valley, San Fernando and points beyond.
It was Art Laboe who gave Manny Pacheco his first job in radio when he was hired at the iconic 1110 AM KRLA. Laboe is a mentor and a lifelong friend. Happy Happy Birthday... Baby!
